Default Thoughts on pricing for a 1950 Big League Stars Connors.

I haven't found one that has changed hands recently. It's a funny card. Unlike stars, fewer and fewer people remember Chuck Connors as time goes along. OTOH, it will always be the most sought after card in a somewhat obscure issue. What would you think a mid-grade raw one would fetch these days?

That’s a much more realistic price than the eBay museum one.

Actually $675. That's what my invoice came to anyway.

Marc Macrae had one available recently for about $1000. My recollection is that it was ungraded but in very nice shape. Not sure if he still has it.

Default Chuck Connors

1950 BIG LEAGUE STARS...... Chuck Connors' rookie card.

I met Chuck Connors in 1983 at a Show in NJ. I waited till the ending of his signing session for an opportunity to talk with him.
We mainly talked about his Movies. Especially one of my favorite Westerns....The Big Country.
We talked for about a 1/2 hour. Chuck had interesting stories regarding some of the actors and actresses in this movie. He was
a very friendly and pleasant guy.

Hi Todd

In recent years, the price of the Connors rookie card ranges between 500 - 1000. I don't know what grade my Connors card (shown in above post) would get, should I have it graded.
But, it is nicer looking card than most of them out there.

And, I'm not likely to get it graded, since I'm not going to sell it. I only get sportscards graded if I intend to sell (or trade) them.

After I started this thread, I pulled the trigger on a lot that includes a few Connors. I am hoping to find a trading partner for a LaSorda for one of them and then might putter around on the set. I had always wanted one.

I live in Hannibal, Mo. which is the birth place and burial place of HOFer Jake Beckley. I'm only a couple miles from his grave and visit it from time to time to spruce it up.
