Default Help needed - 1934 Goudey copyright cards

Hello, I’m writing a series of articles on 1933-34 Goudey for SABR Baseball Cards.

Am looking to compile “Date of Publication” data from as many of the 1934 Goudey copyright cards as I can.

At the moment I have only the dates I could get from Google image searches:

2. Cochrane - May 1
7. Durocher - May 1
10. Klein - May 1
13. Frisch - May 1
14. Kamm - May 1
38. Hildebrand - May 22
61. Gehrig - July 3

If you know of others, please post here or send PM. Happy to credit you in my article if you also include your full name.

You can find images of '34 Lombardi and Ryan cards in this thread, a discussion about the 12345678 PSA cert numbers that appear on many of them.

Thank you! Am looking more for 1934 at the moment but I will still add this one to my 1933 database.

Hi Jason,

Have you checked issue 27 of the Old Cardboard magazine? They had an article about these in that issue with images and details.

FWIW, PSA would probably give you a free reholder and new cert# if you sent them an email with the heading "Mechanical Error - duplicate Cert number" because 12345678 in their official database is a 1989 Gary Sheffield rookie card.
ITEM INFORMATION
Certification Number 12345678
Label Type with fugitive ink technology
Reverse Cert Number/Barcode Yes
Year 1989
Brand UPPER DECK
Sport BASEBALL CARDS
Card Number 13
Player GARY SHEFFIELD
Variety/Pedigree STAR ROOKIE
Grade GEM MT 10

Hey Jay pretty cool that you had/have that many. I think Jason was looking for the Date of Publication, instead of the Date of Affidavit/Copies Received date. On the Woody English example you shared that would be June 1st, 1934.

Jay,

Fantastic!! As Brian noted, Date of Publication is more helpful to me if you are able to provide it. This will pretty much double what I have. Thank you!

Jason
