Default 5 hours left 2/14 The Collector Connection Auction (formerly Birmingham Auctioneers)

paid ad

So we took the plunge and changed the name. The old links and email address will continue to work for some time, and if you are already registered with us there is no need to re-register. It's the same company and platform just a name that's a little less confusing!

The new information is https://www.thecollectorconnection.com, email is info@thecollectorconnection.com phone number is the same 717.327.8915

Our 2021 Schedule is as follows:

Jan 27 - Feb 14 Post War Sports Cards & Memorabilia with a focus on Autographs Consignment deadline passed
Feb 24 - Mar 14 Post War Sports Cards & Memorabilia Consignment Deadline Passed
Mar 24 - April 11 Non Sports Cards & Memorabilia Consignment Deadline March 10th
April 21 - May 9 Pre War Sports Cards & Memorabilia Consignment Deadline April 7th
May 19 - June 6 Comic Books Consignment Deadline May 5th (only seeking keys and higher value books at this point)
July 14 - Aug 1 Post War Sports Cards & Memorabilia Consignment Deadline June 1st
Sept 15 - Oct 3 Post War Sports Cards & Memorabilia Consignment deadline August 1st
Oct 20 - Nov 7 Non Sport Cards & Memorabilia Consignment Deadline October 1st
Nov 10 - Nov 28 Pre War Sports Cards & Memorabilia Consignment Deadline Nov 1st
Dec 1 - Dec 12 Post War Sports Cards & Memorabilia Consignment deadline November 1st.

As always Net 54 members get a 5% discount on consignment rates. We are pretty solid on consignments up until the Spring Pre War Auction. We are hoping to at least match this past fall's Pre War auction which was pretty epic, so if you have pre war cards or memorabilia to consign please get in touch! Many members would be glad to give me a reference as consignors and/or buyers.

The current auction is pretty amazing in its own right. Openingat 10pm 1/27/21 and closing on 2/14/21 we've never had an autograph collection like this. It's the remainder of the collection that the autographed 1948 Bowman George Mikan came from. Well over 1000 autographed cards in singles and small lots from 1923 - 1990's if you are an autographed set builder or player collector there is almost definitely something for you in this auction!

Highlights include Nolan Ryan Rookie PSA 4.5 Autograph 8, 1953 Bowman Color Pee Wee Reese PSA 3.5 Autograph 10! 1933 Goudeys, 1952 Topps, 1948 Swell Sport Thrills, and more. Tougher autographs like Ken Boyer, Roger Maris and Elston Howard. Tough combinations like 1948 Bowman Pete Reiser too!

Also a massive football autograph collection from another consignor. Rarely seen postcards and small sets TONS of early HOF'ers like Red Grange and Heisman winners like Jay Berwanger.

All of that in addition to an assortment of other cards and collectible including PSA graded vintage Dodgers and Yankees World Series tickets.

Photos to come as we finish them!

Thanks to all who participated in the naming contest and thanks to Net54 and it's members for all their support! Here's to a great new year!

Scott,

Looking forward to your auction, especially if there are any 1953 Topps!

To change your signature, click on User CP in the ribbon at the top, then on the menu on the left, click Edit Signature.

Great auctions and great auction company. And the new company name is very accurate (better than my "Collect or Die" entry)...it is a fun auction place for the collector to buy and sell their cards.

Unfortunately not a ton of 1953 Topps, I remember seeing a Bobby Shantz off hand but nothing else jumps out in my memory.

Thanks for the help, you just earned $10 off your next purchase!

Name changes often are a precursor for big years! Congrats! Nice job on being full for consignments for the first third of the year. I doubt if even major auction houses can say that. Looking forward to all of the big things that await and very excited for your comic books auction.

It was Jan Volk of the Boston Celtics who I heard say, "Good luck is the residue of hard work." Thanks Scott.

So I'm a bit confused. I received an email late last night from the Collector Connection about their auction that opens today. But when I go to their website, all I see is their Dec 13 auction. Do I have an incorrect or stale link?

Looks like the new auction begins today, so I'd expect it to update sometime soon.
Good luck, Scott! Hope it goes well for you!

Our auctions always start in the evening. Should be up and running by 10pm. All lots will be listed but we will unfortunately still be adding images as we lost a lot of man hours to the ice yesterday.

We are appearing on The Great American Collectibles radio show and podcast tonight. Will be showing off some of the items from the current auction as well as some teasers from the next auction.

Tons of autographs in the current auction still seeking opening bids. Closes Sunday so don't miss out!

Big bargain remaining on a quick glance is a plaque with separate autographed 8 x 10's of Rose and DiMaggio at only $40. Basically buy a Rose, get a DiMaggio free!
