Default USPS to issue Yogi Berra stamp

The USPS will issue a postage stamp honoring Yogi Berra, manager of the 1973 National League Champion New York Mets, sometime in 2021.

Details on the official First Day of Issue, and the official First Day city, will be released by the USPS at a later date.

Nice pic. He almost looks handsome. Too bad he won't be here to be honored.

Awesome! Now we can come up with a whole slew of fictional Yogi'isms, and attribute them to the Post Office.

I'll go first.

"It will get there when it gets there, unless it doesn't get there!"

"I once tracked a delivery right to my front door. Went to the front porch and found nothing there. I yelled back in the house, where's my package Mickey? Mickey yells back, it's probably back at YOUR house, Yogi. Kubek laughed. That's when I knew HE had taken it."

I believe that a living person can't be on a US postage stamp.

EDIT: My bad, it appears the USPS recinded that policy in 2011.

If the USPS says the stamp will be available in 2021, count on it to be March 2023.

The delays at the US Postal Service are so bad no one uses it anymore.
