Default Joe Jackson?!

I have a really old postcard depicting, what is obviously, mostly, if not all, minor league players. However, the guy laying down in the front on the far left looks alot like Shoeless Joe Jackson. I do know Jackson played with semi-pro teams, especially after his ban in MLB. Any help is appreciated.

If you have not, you should also post this on pre war board for the expertise there

Dan Wallach at Shoeless Joe Museum would also be a good person to ask. His email is shoelessmuseum at gmail.

Thanks. I thought about contacting him. Perhaps that might be my best bet. Everyone that has seen it in person has said it very well could be him. I'll get in touch with them and see what they say. Thanks again!

Unlike 99.99% of the claims that 'Shoeless Joe' is in an old photograph, your player at least bears a decent resemblance to Jackson, which is a welcome change.

Personally, I just don't see it, though. The face shape is off, there's no blatant chin cleft and the reclining man looks much too young, among other things, in my opinion. Joe Jackson looked generally 'old' and gaunt as a player on the Sox. If this was taken after his MLB career was over, I would assume he'd look worse, not better, due to the weight of the stress pushing down on him every day.
