March pickup thread

Finally picked up one of the brown HOF bats for my favorite player Wade Boggs. Pic is from the listing as I just bought it this morning.

Have always wanted this set.....really nice condition - all intact with no staining....tempted to punch them out!! But will keep as is....

Made a deal for these 2 Boggs bats last night. I believe this gives me 40 different Wade Boggs model bats.

LOL, good one. It amazes me there are that many different models. I know of at least 10 other models I don't own yet and I only collect Louisville Slugger bats.

I haven’t posted a pick up in quite sometime. Here is an autographed Willie Stargell Hall of Fame induction ceremony invitation I just added to my collection.

I am so lucky to acquire a former AAGPBL 's album of when she played back in the 1940's and later again in the early 50's. These 3 photo albums tell a story which began when she was 15 and continued through 1992 when she was involved with the Penny Marshall production of League of their Own. There are over 60 original photos from the time period and several like these 2 shown here are also signed. A treasure for sure.

Yes, Columbus Red Birds. Per the seller - "We date this sign as prior to 1941, when Johnnie Neblett left broadcasting the Columbus Redbirds to move to St Louis and then Chicago. Neblett was killed tragically in a plane crash in 1946. So the sign almost certainly dates to the late 1930s, perhaps 1940 or no later than 1941." The sign measures 13 1/2 x 27 1/4 and was made by the Donaldson Art Sign Co. in Covington, Ky.

That sounds incredibly cool. Do you know the AAGPBL player's name, and is there any available info about her?
