He caught two of the best, Gibson and Carlton, both of whom were extremely willful but came to regard him with great respect.

I absolutely loved McCarver's voice. I always picture him as a Cardinal. McCarver, Jim Nance, and Jerry Coleman. I could listen to them forever.
