Default SGC Label question

Is it possible to have SGC label what they put on the slab? I have some 1916 M101-4 cards that I'd like to indicate the players are "In Federal League Uniform" on the cards.

Should I just send them to Beckett, where it seems you can get anything written on the slabs?

Hello there,

I doubt SGC would let you dictate what goes on the flip, except for special situations where they show provenance. Like the Lionel Carter Collection or something like that. Personally, I hate Becket slabs so I wouldn't send it to them for any reason. But if you don't mind them then maybe that's what you do.

Default maybe.....

My initial thought was "no" BUT on second thought, it might be worth a $25 gamble to try this.......

When you are typing in the Title, ignore their suggestion and type what you want , example below:

I've tried this with SGC with some success in the past. Don't overdue it and only put facts in the title. SGC is probably the ONLY grading company that has a clue about real pre-war cards so I'd say you have a chance. 50/50 most likely.

They may just ignore your title and change it back to the basic title you won't know if you don't try. Good luck!

PS Just click on the "Click here to add your card" and your homemade title is what SGC will see when they get your card and order form!

I don’t know that I can claim credit for this, but here goes it…

I had previously seen Polo Grounds postcards graded by SGC without mentioning John McGraw on the label. I emailed SGC and asked if McGraw could be mentioned on mine if I submitted it. Months later, I sent it in without further mention and this was the result.
