A couple more newer/modern cards I decided to grab last month.
I tell myself I need to thin out my collection but I guess I'm not very good at that?

Great looking cards, Anthony.
Ron Francis's card is criminally underrated. Top 100 player of all time and they can still be had fairly cheap.

Ronald Michael Francis Jr. (born March 1, 1963) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey centre. He is the general manager of the Seattle Kraken that inaugurated its first season in 2021. Drafted fourth overall in the 1981 NHL Entry Draft, Francis played 23 seasons in the NHL for the Hartford Whalers, Pittsburgh Penguins, Carolina Hurricanes, and Toronto Maple Leafs. Upon retiring from professional ice hockey in 2004, Francis stood second all-time in career assists (1,249), behind only Wayne Gretzky; fifth in career points (1,798); third in games played (1,731); and 27th in career goals (549).

In 2017, Francis was named one of the hundred greatest NHL players in history.

Larry, really nice group of cards. If you have any duplicates on the 75-76 Topps set I only have a small handful left to get. I'm down to the following to complete it: 75 (Schock), 140 (Dionne), 143 (Nanne), 280 (Pronovost), and 325 (Flyers Leaders). Thanks.

Ok, I have not been collecting hockey cards for a long time.
But a good friend pulled this card on Sunday and offered to
me and I thought why not. What sold me on the card was
that it says it is an actual game used shield. Not event worn
or manufactured shield. So it is the real deal. Thanks for taking a look.

Nice group of cards there. Love the 70/71s, and of course Gretz and Kurri are tough to beat. Are you working on that 70/71 set?

No not working on any sets.Did them all a long time ago.But I would sooner spend $100 on vintage than a few packs of new stuff.Maybe only 1 pack.

Well congrats and lucky you on finishing those sets, still plodding myself. Very much agree, can't bring myself to spend on new stuff unless it is Kurri.

And off topic, but I still have your non-sport want list on my phone as those '72 and '78 Kelloggs you have call to me.

I guess I am a different type collector than most. I have done all those sets. Some as many a few times.
I did all the modern day hockey sets from 1951 up to about 1990. But once the chase is over for that
last card. My enjoyment for that set is done.So I rarely keep anything.Just move on to build another set.
The only thing I am 100% loyal to is my Scottie Upshall collection.I am forever expanding it.There are a few
cards of his that have allotted me for years. But when they ever become available I will be ready.
When you talk about 72 and 78 Kellogg's do you mean the baseball part sets that I have? Thanks.

Yeah, the Kellogg's baseball ones you have. And good to know about Upshall, in case I ever run across anything.

A few recent modern P/U's. Mitch Marner is an incredible player, which most hockey fans know, but here's a couple more of relative newcomers/rookies that I also think will become great players as well someday.

Irv,

Nice pickups. I couldn’t resist this one at $3. Not everyone knows what they have. Marks are on top loader not card.
