Default Veterans' Committee Nominees

Posted By: Paul

I'm not sure if any of you noticed that the HOF has released the preliminary list of nominees for election by the veterans committee in 2007. Here it is.

http://www.baseballhalloffame.org/news/2006/060403.htm

They had to dig pretty deep to come up with 200 players plus 60 executives / managers / umpires. John Hiller just can't be a Hall of Famer. But I think the biggest surprise on the list has to be George W. Bush. I absolutely don't want to start a political debate. This is about his baseball credentials, not his political credentials. He did sign Nolan Ryan to the Rangers, but other than that I think his most famous baseball accomplishment was trading Sammy Sosa.
