Default Photo posting question

How do I make my photos smaller so they fit nicely into my post ?
My posted photos are always almost twice the size they should be to fit.

Default Posting Question

Robert, Thanks for the reply to my post but this simple mind can't comprehend how to reduce the size still. You reduced the size before you uploaded, but when I go to the page to upload nothing happens for me.
If you could just give me a little more details on the procedure I would really appreciated it
Thanks

Generally, on a pc type device, you would click on the picture in your Photos folder. Then you would open in a s/w program, likely Paint. After you open the picture in paint you can downsize it and save it. Then you upload to the forum,. I am on a Windows operating system, notebook computer, so it's quick and easy. As for phones and ipads etc.. I don't use them to upload pictures...I don't think they work as well, if at all. Others will know more than me about that.

There may be several methods.

The way that I reduce image size to fit into posts is:

Select the digital image so that it is highlighted.

Right-click, then Open With > Paint

Once the image has opened in Paint, then click Resize.

Reduce the size by percentage (e.g. 50%) or by choosing the pixel size that you want.

Save.

(Leon got his response in as I was composing this.)
