Default Players Who Had Solo Rookie Cards Before Appearing On Multi Player Rookie Cards

A recent trivia question here asking about Gaylord Perry having a solo card before appearing on a multi player rookie card got me to wondering what other players appeared on a solo card before appearing on a multi player rookie card. I have found eight, there are probably more. Does anyone know of any others?

Wow, the fact some of these are spaced out 3 years. Crazy, never realized or connected the dots.

Seems like a bit of a gut punch to star on your own card, then have to share later.

Though it's outside of this particular section of the forum, don't forget Derek Jeter's 1993 solo followed by a 1994 multiplayer card. That one was super odd to me. I guess Topps rationalized it with the 93 being a "Draft Pick" card and the 1994 being a major league rookie card, but it seemed silly to me at the time. Still does.

In the early/mid 90s, Topps brought back the 4-player “top prospects” card. Some of these guys already appeared on their own card previously. For example Chipper Jones’ rookie is the 1991 Topps, yet appears on Toppps top prospects cards in 1992 and 1993. Brien Taylor has his own 1992 Topps card (technically two, as he has the Draft Picks card and the Topps Gold), but also appears on a 1993 Topps prospects card. I’m sure there are many more instances of these.

Gary Peters was on two solo cards in 1960 (his own and JC Martin's), and one solo card in 1961 before appearing on a 1963 Rookie Stars card.

I think Lou Pinella is even weirder. Multi Player card in 1964, Single Player in 1968, Multi Player in 1969, Trophy Rookie in 1970.

Bill Davis has 5. 1965-1969.

Yes, I think Davis is the champ. He did rap out 19 hits over that time. The Jolly Green Giant at 6:7

Piniella made a strong effort

Correct, Davis is the champ.

Dick Simpson is second with 4 (1963-1966). Piniella is in a large group with 3.

Korince holds a first as the first transracial pitcher to appear on a Topps rookie duo card.

Damn I was getting my weird rookie facts confused anyway, Korince was the one mentioned above, two players one name. I think I was thinking of George Mitterwald, which the way I am running will ALSO turn about to be wrong but somehow interesting.

How about Derek Jeter? I know he falls outside of pre-1980 but he did have the 1993 Topps draft pick card before appearing on a 1994 Topps multi-rookie.
