COMC mail day.

Mickey Mantle cards

PSA 8 Rickey, HOF Rookies of Reggie Jackson, Yaz, OPC Raines, Cal Hubbard umpire, COMC graded Mint Ron Cey/Ogilvie/Williams, Willie Nelson w/ Willie Mays jersey piece, 1972 Cloth, and 1969 4-in-1

1952 Topps graded set start. Working the PSA registry and will send in the raw cards and crossover the BGS/SGC. The one high-number is trimmed but was only $50.

HoF autos plus two N43s that were incorrectly marked N29s by PSA. Will have to get them reholdered to add to my set.

Yeah, COMC can be frustrating at times, but when you can buy all kinds of sports and nonsports cards, it's pretty amazing.
I do have to return one of the cards from my order that looked much better in the picture than what I received. But I emailed them and they've already told me they'll accept the return no problem and reimburse me the shipping back to them.
Plus, I now have about 20K cards for sale on site with another 10,000 to price/list that I just picked up in port sales. No way could/would I do that if COMC wasn't a thing.

Smallest card I've ever seen. Purple back to go with my orange back.

Some recent additions for my 52 Topps collection.
That Richards card was a tough one for some reason, but glad to say I finally snagged one!

Thanks, Jason and Dale. Had a cool conversation with my daughter, a budding artist, about cards today. Looked at some Robinson cards online together. An awesome unintended consequence.

Net54 has been an invaluable place to learn!

Someone from another thread was saying they were also looking for a Friend.
I had my eye on this one, (and was hoping they didn't) and a couple others and I am glad to say I got it.

It wasn't cheap, $25 and change, (Philley was $22+) but I couldn't let it go as it was a tough one to get and one I needed.

Bidding was ferocious on these 2 cards, which I luckily won, but one that I also needed, unfortunately got away.

Edit: Removed my listing pics and added the real ones as the cards arrived today. I must say, for me, these are some of the nicest 52 Topps I have purchased. They look real nice in hand.
Also, while I purchased the 52's, I decided to grab this multi-player card of Koufax, Juan Marichal, and Vern Law from the same seller for under $5.00 bucks. I like these multi-player cards and this one was priced too well, imo, to let it slide.

And at a show today I picked up a tough 1959 high number and a pretty sweet 1969 Perry white letter variation. And Campy?? Well, I don't collect the set and he's in rough shape, but look at the discount i got!!!!

Darren,

Nice additions. Love the Campy. My '52 low number set is pretty much in that condition. Can get great deals on well-loved cards.

The Greatest Moments set is very cool. The Reggie Jackson is one of my white whales for my RJ player set.

A candidate for the "Ugliest Set Ever"!!!

RARE set to be sure, but dang they are ugly!!! This is how they were made in strips of 3 players.

Let's see how good you guys are... Identify the set! If nobody gets it I'll let you know.

Default O-pee-chee

Took my player collecting into O-Pee-Chee. Had resisted for a little while, because the cards are identical (almost) to the Topps cards, but I really like these, mainly for the centering/looks for the grade.

I dig these, Mike. Especially the Clemente. Cool card.

RARE set to be sure, but dang they are ugly!!! This is how they were made in strips of 3 players.

Let's see how good you guys are... Identify the set! If nobody gets it I'll let you know.

Is it possible these could be game pieces of some kind?

Mike

Thanks a lot - Clemente is my favorite player to collect, and that's one of my favorite mainstream issues!

Thanks - Maris is one of my favorites and I find him really under-appreciated.

He also has a ton of great looking cards in his Topps issues - '58, '60, '61, '62, '65, 66, '67 - those are just a few of my favorites!

Thanks, Nelson. I'm slowly but surely getting there, if I ever completely get there, but I'm enjoying doing what I can.

Nice cards!

Maybe I'm wrong, but aren't O-Pee-Chee's a little tougher to find and therefore also more valuable? I know this is the case with some Hockey cards but I'm not 100% sure with baseball however?

I am psyched to knock this tough HOF'er off of my ever-diminishing 1961 need list. I used the $15 off coupon code to grab it up...

The centering on back is most likely the reason for the O/C qualifier (And I couldn't care less!! Woo hoo!!), but if you look on ebay, the front is centered better than a heckuva lot of NQ cards. Love it!!

Spelling "Yastrzemski" correctly without needing to look it up since the 1980s.
