Default 1970s HOF/stars/notables RC list

I've been putting together a run of HOF/stars/notables/etc RC's from 60s-00s and I've reached an assumed end to my 1970s era run.

I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions of a RC I may have overlooked from the era.

My criteria is rather broad. Not everyone is a superstar, but they did have notable or impressive careers. Some faded out early (JR Richard). Some never got many accolades, but had great careers (Jose Cruz). Some guys simply have longevity on their side (Charlie Hough).

I was thinking 1977 Mark Fidrych. I know not in HOF and not a long career, but he was notable.

Fidrych and Luzinski are both good additions to the list. I’d humbly suggest 1972 Mickey Rivers also.

Great idea BTW!

Ron “the con” LeFlore. Pretty good hitter and base stealer. They made a movie about his back story. 1975 Rookie card.

Nice one. Didn't think of him, but it certainly fits.

I like this thread. Brings me back to looking at the backs of baseball cards when I was a kid in the 70's and 80's and seeing impressive stats for players I had never even heard of at that point.
