"Do you guarantee the card has not been trimmed and altered?"

his response:
"Please don't buy from me with questions like that."

then a follow up email from him letting me know he blocked me from his listings.

I should have known not even to bother since he has over 1000 transactions and a 98.4% rating. Thought others would like to know.

Another sad experience with the same seller (sonicadvantage) ... just for the record. I asked (via eBay - "question about shipping for this item")

I am looking at the Leach - nice card! If I win it, can I have it shipped US mail at a traditional rate, rather than UPS Ground? Thanks for offering the card for purchase.

The way over the top (IMO) response - sent to my email directly, and not to my ebay Messages...

Like stick it in an envelope and stick a stamp on it? Priority is well over 5.00. Parcel post is thrown on the porch and has no proof of ever existing. Insurance is a joke and can take 2 months to recoup lost funds.

Is a 2.00 increase from a 5.00 charge to a 7.00 package really not worth all the time and effort you put into your collection. My grandfather and father spent their entire life on this collection. Have you seen those itiots at the post office? I wouldnt trust them with something I bought at wal-mart moreless something we have been protecting for nearly 100 years in my family.

Sorry for the inconvienence but I pay a minimum of 7.05 to ups and pay my kids 1.00 per package towards thier allowance for liquidating thier inheratence towards their college fund. If you want to dis' my 8 and 2 year old that's not right.

I didn't have the heart to ask what his grandfather and father would think about how he respected their "lifetime of efforts" with regards to his upbringing.

It going for a whopping $0.99 ... glad to know, though, that the card is "unmolested"... Classic.

Things get a little muddied by the end of this gentleman's rant. But if I understand correctly, this man has his two year old to help package the cards--it's part of how he makes his allowance. How dare we dis' this man's hard workin' two year old!

I sent him the same question that Matt sent him and he responded with this: Do you think if I were to trim it I would make rounded corners and crooked centering? The 100s of buyers haven’t complained yet and they have 15 times the feedback you do and sell cards for a living.

I e-mailed him last night about the "T205's" and he wrote back this morning and he seemed civilized to me, and he change the listings to T202 End Panels.

But...I do have a problem with his UPS shipping. I would guess he's making a buck or two (or investing it for the kids), but to charge $10 shipping for a $20 card? My guess is he would do a lot better if he had $3 shipping, and the card sold for $17; than if he charges $10 for shipping, and the card sells for only $10 - $15 because of the shipping cost.

Being an arse with his answers to the questions will only hurt himself and he will maybe figure it out someday?

Hi I don,t buy cards but did buy a set of speakers off him. He had them as near mint cond. with brush like scratches that my high resolution camera will not pick up on one speaker. When I got the speakers there were scratches on one speaker so I emailed him.
He asked for pictures and said I had buyers remorse (the speakers were 1500$) so I sent him a picture from My 100$ no brand camera that picked up the pictures fine. HE got all upset went on and on about it so I said I would let it go and give him good feed back.
HE SLAMMED me the next morning saying I messed his up DSRs because I did not give him all 5s He went on an on then gave me negative feed back and said I tried to EXTORT from him because I asked about the marks and also said I did not send pictures which I did and still have them. There Is more to this but you all need to make sure what you are buying from him. I am now on Square trade trying to get the feedback off. But my in fact go after him. Buyer beware.

i am on heavy drugs and cant think steight much od the time and paid him 9 days afte the end and he mad? he sent me a free gift dVD set of 4 dvdes too and to bnegin with offered to cancel the transaiction sense i didnt want to pay 97 bucks for shipping but i desided to payanyway after 9 days of making hem waait.. he has to be insazne thaa all of us cant pay right awey like he wants. watz rong with a week after to pay. too bad waaaaaa. Back in Feb I bought a beautiful Carlos Smith t206 from him for about $100. The same day he was running an auction for Heinie Smith. Guess which one he shipped me. That's right, Heinie. Luckily for both of us the buyer of the Heinie agreed to send the Carlos to me and I shipped him the Heinie. I was very happy with the card in the end but those darn kids almost cost me.
