Default plate scratch sheet(s) #2 matching pairs sheet #1 matching pair images added

I think Steve hit on something in his reply in the plate scratch sheet(s) #1 thread when he mentioned about the plate scratches getting "weaker" from wear on the stones.

I took a look at all the scratches on this sheet and you can see that the scratches are bolder on the 2A sheet which has all of the 150 only subjects on it.

I've been away for a few days.

That's a cool thing! The 150 only is the known pattern, and pretty much confirms the idea for that sheet.

It might not for any other sheet.
If it doesn't work for the other sheet, that might indicate the two sheet fronts being produced at the same time.
OR
That multiple sheet fronts were made and stocked, then printed with backs as needed. Which seems less likely.

I'll let you judge for yourself Steve but I think the other dual sheet(s) show that they were also printed at different times as shown by the wear on the subjects from one sheet compared to the matching scratches on the other sheet.

All of the images have the 1b sheet (649) subjects on the left which to me the majority of those images show more wear on the scratches in comparison to the non 649 subjects sheet.

That's a wonderful thing!
A sheet layout, and a clear division on which ones were on which sheet and printed earlier or later.
