Default Negro League Parks/Monuments/Museums

I live in Pennsylvania and have easy access to suburban Philly, Harrisburg and can make it to Pittsburgh and often wondered if anyone knew of any places to visit/landmarks/etc that are still around to see some history. Where is the stadium the Harrisburg team, Hilldale or Crawfords and Grays played? I am sure they are all parking lots or apartments.

With all the teams that played in Pennsylvania I wonder if any small museums are open to see. Anyone have any insight?

As I have mentioned many times before - The pilgrimage to the Negro League Hall of fame at 18th & Vine in Kansas City is fabulous.

Having spent 25+ years around the KC area - I have wandered downtown on many occasions to spend hours looking at stuff I had missed in previous visits

(do a road trip?)

Drive over to Cleveland to see the restored League Park and Baseball Heritage Museum.

I'm not too far from Harrisburg & have been to the City Island field where the Harrisburg Senators play (The Nat's Double A Team)
Prior to that stadium being built in the 1980's, the Harrisburg Giants of the Negro Leagues played there.
I believe they folded in 1957 as the MLB was integrated. Though I've never seen a monument or plaque dedicated to them.

I did meet a former Negro Leaguer there in '06 who was selling a book about the old league.
"I gave it my best shot" by Willie Fordham, he even signed it.
If you want it, PM me your address & its yours. It incl a brochure about the Negro League museum in KC
