Default A Ton of 1961 Topps High Numbers, Stars and Graded Cards for Trade!!

EDITED TO ADD: ***Halle-freaking-lujah!!!! I finally completed this set!!!!***

The following scans show the wide variety of 1961 Topps high numbers, stars and SP's I have to offer. There are a ton of graded cards included, too. The conditions of these cards vary, but quite a few are in pretty nice shape.

Every card shown in these scans is available for trade, and I also have a ton of stuff from 1957 through the early 70's -- with plenty of stars, HOF'ers and high numbers -- if you are looking to pick up those instead.

Bottom line, my first priority, now that I've finished off my 1961 set, is probably to trade single cards or a package deal for some serious HOF'ers from the 50's through the early 70's (I need some Mays, Aaron, Mantle and Clemente cards, as well as other players) and/or high numbers from other years (most notably 1966 and 1967) to upgrade my sets. This could be a great opportunity for someone to knock a bunch of '61 high numbers off of their need list as these guys are just ridiculously tough to come by.

The scans started in numerical order, but as I added cards it became a non-sequential mish mosh of things, so be sure to check out all of the scans to see the complete list of cards I have available...

And a minor technical note: To save time when I get a new card, sometimes I will scan it by itself and sorta shoehorn it into an already existing scan that has space available. This is why a scan or two may look a bit off. For instance, the PSA 8 Wilhelm was edited into an existing scan that only had 3 cards in it.

Robinson AS), 573 (Boyer AS), 574 (Aparicio AS), 575 (Banks AS), 576 (Maris AS), 581 (F. Robinson AS), 584 (Perry AS)
Also have these highs in rough shape (creases, rounded corners, etc.): 549, 550, 551, 552, 554, 557, 558, 561, 562, 566, 581, 583

I am particularly interested in these:
• HOF'ers in nice shape from the 50's and 60's, graded or ungraded
• Willie Mays, Hank Aaron, Mickey Mantle, Jackie Robinson, Ted Williams & Roberto Clemente cards
• 1958 Topps HOF'ers
• 1971 Topps Greatest Moments
• Tough to find errors and variations from the 50's through the early 70's
• 1964 Topps Stand-Ups (need virtually any in nice shape)
• 1961-67 Topps high numbers and SP's
• 1962 Topps 'green tints' graded 8 and higher
• 1963 Fleer BB stars and HOF'ers in nice shape
• 1954 Bowman BB stars and HOF'ers in nice shape
• 1954 Red Heart BB (need virtually any in nice shape)
• 1968 Milton Bradley HOF'ers
• 1972 Topps HOF'ers, high numbers and other cards in NM shape and nicely centered to upgrade my sets
• 1972-73 OPC Hockey starter set in nice shape with stars and/or high numbers
• T-206's or other pre-war cards (possibly)
• And I'm probably open to a wide variety of other things as well

Also...some of the high numbers in my ungraded set (Mazeroski, Wilhelm and Friend immediately come to mind) have nice corners but are way off center, so if you have any highs that are decently centered and in nice shape, I may want to trade for them as upgrades. And if I have doubles of a graded high number card, I may be interested in trading for a graded high number I don't have here. Keep that in mind, too.

Default possible trade

I am also trying to complete the 1961 set. Unfortunately, I never had any of these cards from my collecting years as a kid. So I have been putting the set together, very slowly, through the years and have few available for trade.
I am down to 13 more cards for the set. You have several that I need. I have some stars from the 70's available for trade. LMK if you are interested in of these cards and would like to work a trade, thanks.

Cards for trade;
1957 Topps – Checklist 2nd & 3rd series (23 marks – numbered 89-264)
1961 – High Numbers – 527 (slight indentation above name) (Angels), 548 (Red Sox)
1971 – 20 R. Jackson
1972 – 79 Fisk & Cooper Rookie
1973 – 100 Aaron, 130 Rose, 615 Schmidt Rookies
1974 – 2, 3 Aaron, 283 Schmidt, 456 Winfield Rookie, 470 R. Jackson AL Playoffs
1975 – 616 Rice Rookies, 620 Carter Rookie, 622 Lynn Rookies
1977 – 270 Parker, 450 Rose
1978 – 707 Trammell & Molitor Rookie
1979 – 416 All-Time Wins Leader Cy Young, 418 All-Time ERA leader W. Johnson
1980 – 482 R. Henderson Rookie

The cards I need from your post are;
523, 539, 541, 555, 557, 565, 572, 574, 576, 577, 581
I am looking for cards with no creases, pen or pencil markings.

Bump. Added a couple of tough cards, including a Perranoski RC that's a PSA 8 (ST), only because it has a small amount of residue that woulda/coulda/shoulda been easily removed before it was sent out to be graded.

Bump. Added a second, nearly identical PSA 8 OC #577 Hank Aaron All Star (doesn't look crazily off-centered at all) and a PSA 7 #388 Roberto Clemente to the group.

Scans are all updated in the first couple of posts in this thread (some of the latter scans may have become a bit wonky, so ignore them).

Long time, no bump.

Added this quartet to the tally:

For you low popper enthusiasts, there are only 24 PSA 9 #560's on the entire planet, so pictured here is 1/12 of them.

Working on the '61 set. Interested, you have some beautiful cards, way above the level of set I am collecting. Don't know if I could put together enough to work a trade. My big buys will be the mantle 300, and the mantle AS. Already have the mantle mvp.

As I've added a couple of cards, it's time for another pointless bump. The posts at the beginning of the thread contain all of the correct/updated scans.

I'm interested in a few of these if you're interested in trying to work something out. I've got a few random 1957 HOFers and a nice Brooks 1960T.

Hello. I just updated my list of 61’s needed and came across your post. I’m 24 cards away. Are you still only looking to trade or would you be willing to sell a few?
Thank you,
Justin

***Be advised: I have not updated this thread for f*cking years!!! Absolutely years!!!*** (If you guessed I'm channeling Pink Floyd's "Speak to Me," congrats, you nailed it!!)

Since people seem to be working on their 1961 sets and, of course, are struggling to get past the stupidly-tough high number roadblock just like I (and everyone else) had to do, maybe it's time to give this a bump.

If anyone is interested in trading (my preference would be for stars, variations or tough high numbers from other sets in the 1960s), please look over the assembled masses and LMK.

I realize some of the graded ones shown are the only slabbed versions I have, so I cannot trade them, but others (for example, the Maris PSA 5 jumps out) are actually doubles and are available. If the scans do show multiples of a graded card, then one of them is definitely on the block. Some ungraded cards shown aren't even in my possession anymore, so I'd have to confirm that I still have anything you ask about

Yes, that's a long explanation for a bumping, but, oh well, wanted to make sure it was clear...

Spelling "Yastrzemski" correctly without needing to look it up since the 1980s.

Bump (be sure to look at my post right above this one for some clarity)...
