T-206 Shadow Box - Piedmont Pack and Card
Posted By: Jon Canfield
I was feeling "artsie" tonight so I decided to show off my newest creation!!! Recently, I purchased a very nice Piedmont pack on eBay. It was the outer shell only, but had a near complete August 5th, 1909 tax stamp on the reverse with no overprint. It was also from Factory 25, 2d Va. So, this is almost an unequivocal as you can get with a cigarette pack in terms of did it once hold a card... Using a piece of foam cut to the exact size of an inner slife, I made the pack have the appearance of being completely fill. I also used some early cardboard and made two "ends" for the pack, giving it a look that it still had its' original inner slide. (You would physically have to take the pack apart to be able to tell that there is no inner slide and it is only stuffing and cardboard made to give the appearance). |
