Who is the go to "Guy"?

After reading much of the Jim Chapman's Deadball Era book you can certainly see who are the go to guys for specific knowledge on a certain subjects. I know I will reach out to Rolando or read anything he (and 5+ other members) posts about Cuban related cards/memorabilia.

I assume you can become a subject matter expert by talking or reading other people's work. To help me and others learn more maybe it would be valuable to list certain individuals or sites/blogs/reference books etc.

I was curious, who do you consider that "guy" in certain (and specific areas) in this great hobby?

In my world it's Rhett and Mark for Zeenuts/West Coast stuff, Wayne, Steve, and Tbob for E94's, Steve for all things Louisiana, I'm not a T206 guy but there's a half dozen plus serious guys here like Ted, Ryan, and Sonny to name a few whose knowledge about the set continues to amaze me. I'm forgetting lots of folks but that's off the top of my head. Of course Leon is the King of type collecting.

There's also a group who rarely post much but if you're lucky enough to tap into their generous knowledge it's amazing what they know, and what they have in their collections.

The most knowledgeable serious collectors can be found here which makes this such a special group of people that can't be found anywhere else.

I would say it's Scott Garner for all things Nolan Ryan and all things no-hitter related (not just Nolan's).

A BIG Thanks to Adam for this shout out. Especially coming from him, the guy who wrote the book. But just to be clear my Exhibit expertise is in the 1939 Salutations through the end of Exhibits. I have not tackled the early issues.

FWIW I would humbly nominate myself regarding all things original Baseball and Football Hartland statues as well as Salada coins.

Talking above about writing the book, I would nominate one of our own Ken Marks for his knowledge and publishing on the 1962 Post Cereal Football set. He is also a fountain of information on 1960-1963 Post Cereal baseball, 1963 Jello, and THE MAN on the 1962 Jello set. No one knows more about this almost impossible set to complete than Ken.
