Seemingly, he would be on the '21 Pirates, but I looked at everyone and couldn't find a match.

Hey Lou, I haven't done a lot of research but I think it is Pee Wee Herman - the nose and my facial recognition program identified it pretty quickly. And even better, I also think it's a type I.

Sorry - couldn't resist.

I'm looking at it on my phone and can't enlarge it, but could that be Kiki Cuyler? He was a rookie in 1921 and played 1 game at the end of the season. Probably wouldn't have been in any group team photos. I can't see if he has the details of an older man or not. From the small pic I'm looking at his expression and the way his cap and hair look a bit like him.

I don't think it is Cuyler. Nose too wide and eyebrows too thick

Were you serious about a Pee Wee Herman playing in 1921?

Lou,

You must have missed the last line that gonefishin put in his post.

"Sorry - couldn't resist. "

He was clearly intending his post as a joke.

Default 1921 Pirates

Back row, third from right perhaps? Unfortunately, no player ID's for this photo.

Thank you. However, that is Bill Warwick and comparing other pictures of him to the "unknown" image does not match.

Don't know who your guy is. If you're sure that's Warwick then your guy is not in that 1921 photo. Warwick is the only one that is even remotely close.

Yes, I am sure. I have that photo and all players are identified. I agree that the "unknown" image is not in the 1921 team photo. I am thinking that it may be an image of a player that was only with the Pirates for Spring training that year.
