Default There are Hall of Famers and there are hall of famers...

Scott Rolen is the latter I followed a few of his Autographed cards starting a few days before the vote. Really not much change after the vote. Now Ortiz cards had a decent jump Vlad again a nice jump Thome.. But Mr Rolen not so much.
I write this understanding that a large swath of esp rookie autographs will end up in HOF collections. And we have discussed previous Hall of Famers whose cards not only went up but became difficult to obtain after the vote to put them in the hall of fame.
I was following a Bowman example and the price did not change at all after vote. Anyone else grab a Rolen?

I noticed a huge jump in the ASKING prices of many of his autos. I had a stash already, maybe not every one I wanted, but enough.

I think maybe it is because he is not considered as being from a certain team. Probably mostly a Cardinal because they won a WS while he was there. But he is not embraced by Philly because as soon as he was eligible he wanted to leave. When he left we said good riddance, if you don't want to play here we don't want you. He didn't spend a long time with anybody.

I picked up a signed UD card the day after he went in. Prices were pretty much the same as the day before he went in. There are a ton of his signed cards that were from pack inserts so it's not like he's scarce. Balls seemed to go up though so I passed on one for now.
