Default SOLD - 1958 Roger Maris RC Redux - Ends Sunday 3/29

I figure I will ride on the coattails of the frustrated underbidders in the recent Maris RC feeding frenzy.

Not as sharp a front as the other one but it does have the "original" back. OC L-R.

Starts at $5 and continues in whole dollar amounts. Ends Sunday 3/29 at the last timestamp before midnight EST. Please add $2 for shipping. Check or MO only. Sorry, NO Paypal. Happy bidding!

Sorry, Bobby. I'm east coast too. (I'll amend the time zone in a minute). I've tried other time-ending methods on various days of the week and this seems to work best overall. You can blame those west coasters, sippin' their post-meal Sandeman. Thanks much for the bid.

Yea..that stinks though...I was prepared to go $100-$125 on the other card. I'm not going to put that out there though. These midnight auctions DEFINITELY favor the west coasters. It's just real tough for people who work that Monday morning to stay up to participate in the last minute sniping that is sure to take place for cards of this magnitude.

I agree, except for the "magnitude" part. My BST auctions get sniped often enough, nothing new here. Ending auction times is a great topic for another part of the general forum. I prefer to keep this as a straight auction.

However, in the neverending metamorphosis of NET54, I will allow anyone to voice their opinion on this topic in this thread, within NET54 guidelines, as long as they place a bid on this auction. Bid/Gripe is my dictum. Everyone, bid and fire away.

Bid: $80

And now my gripe . . . stop all of your whining! You do realize that even on the east coast, midnight EST is actually 1am Eastern DAYLIGHT Time!!!!!

So go to bed early, set you alarm for 12:45 am, then get up and snipe when everyone else erroneously thinks the auction is over!

Yes, the misuse of EST, this time of year is a pet peeve of mine.

Uhhh....no....this isn't Ebay. I am sure the OP won't accept a bid past 11:59 EST of THE CURRENT TIME.

Before I push the bidding on this past VCP average, can I see this card against a BLACK background? I want to get a good idea for how off-centered this card is.

Default huh?

Before I call out the imperfect eyesight of the previous poster.....the card is obviously 85/15 to 90/10 o/c. VCP reference....nice touch.

Peace, Mike Papariello

If you aren't bidding, why are you even talking?

PS - no offense, but you aren't the seller of the card. You aren't even a bidder it seems. I asked for a scan against a black background. If I am willing to spend my money with you, that is not an unreasonable request. Not by a long shot. I repeat, why are you even talking?

Default Boys! Boys!! BOYS!!

That'll be enough of this. Or this'll be enough of that! Settle it between yourselves after school behind the handball courts, or I'll send you both to Mr. Simpson (my Junior High School Boys Vice Principal who settled things by handing out indiscriminate swats).

Attached is a high contrast scan that portrays the border breakdown quite nicely, although the card itself, in hand, especially the corners, although touched, is better and more accurately shown in my initial post.
