Cool photo. The two guys on each end don't look like they're old enough to shave, let alone smoke a pipe. Looks like "Little Willie" is puffing on one too.

Excuse the # of uploads. As I mentioned in another post, I absolutely love the T202's combination of portrait art and real-life action shots. The Delong's have great colors for the era and I wanted a card of Chick that showed off his sexy glasses. I'm not in love with any of Joe Cronin's or Lloyd Waner's cards so I went with ones that have solid portraits and were cheap. I plan on eventually getting Paul Waner's same Goudey Wide Pen and putting them next to each other in my display.

Thanks for looking and let's see everyone else's adds!

Jantz
Jantz,

With my e98 set down to only 6 cards (and with any luck, down to 5 this week), I'm looking at the Monster as my next project. (At least a project I will take more seriously than others).

Yeah... That's my biggest problem with them. Their grading doesn't match their standard. They are much tougher than what's published. I can only assume that this helps when they 'miss' something. I know my last submission had lots of 30-35 that look better than half of my 40s.

+1. I totally agree Erick. The really strange thing is, I've seen at least 3 SGC 50's, with Polar Bear backs and the whole card has been stained up. Now I know that was normal and expected to happen because Polar Bear was scrap Tobacco, but to make an exception for that is not completely fair.

Default Newest addition

217 Quinn

How sad and pathetic is my life? Not only am I excited that this is number 217 in the rebuilt collection, but it is only the third out of the 247 examples I either own or have images of that features his stamp running uphill, right side up. All the others are running upside down, downhill.

My boys were excited when I came home with these black leather glove chairs for our baseball card room. They are too cool not to post even though not prewar. I guess Budweiser made these for the 2009 All Star Game. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1358366841.081739.jpg

Yes, thanks, Chris. it's on my radar, but likely going to be out of my budget. Probably going to have to settle for an SGC A or 10. Oh well!

Default My two HOF "rookie" pick-ups this month

two more off the list...a big thanks to Jeff in Toronto for working with me!!!

If I could switch the image sizes around, I would - clearly the Dandridge was a "bigger" pick-up than the Roush...but I'm super pleased with both!
