Default Stan Musial Red heart promo poster???

I cannot find anything about it or any other players in this unique poster form anywhere online. The guy that has it told me he bought a St. Louis shop owners inventory 25 years ago. It definitely appears genuine, the aging and print quality both definitely checkout.
I'm kicking myself as I write this because I should probably buy it. The only thing stopping me is a pretty high asking price. If it was schoendienst I would in a heartbeat. It appears to be one of a kind.
Let me know your thoughts and expertise. Thank you.

I have that set and like the Musial in it, but that would not tempt me, thank goodness

I've never seen anything like it, but since Musial was the spokesman for Red Heart that would make sense. As Sports Collectors Daily said about the 1954 Red Heart set:

"The checklist includes Mickey Mantle, Warren Spahn, Duke Snider, Ralph Kiner, Nellie Fox, Billy Martin, Ted Kluzewski, Richie Ashburn and some guy named Musial, who wasn’t in either bubble gum set that year, having refused to sign for what Topps and Bowman offered players. Musial, in fact, was the advertising spokesman for the set. Getting him had to be a major coup for the Morrell/Red Heart people and a face palming moment for the gum executives who couldn’t afford him."

I can imagine the Red Heart executive may have wanted an in-store display that included the Musial card since he was an exclusive spokesman. Someone could have removed the card from the store display since it would have been quite large. There appears to be remnants of an adhesive on the card back like it was removed from some backing. The attached photo was a display they used to sell the set. It was two Red Heart labels and 10 cents.

The person selling it could be the same person who listed it on Mercari. Same damage spots.

I have my doubts…. When you look in Roberts Edwards Archives of the last 20 years and they have never auctioned one off…. It’s a pretty slim chance, but you never know. I discovered a piece about 5 years ago that is legit and REA never has seen. I also collect Brooks Robinson, and a fellow Brooks collector picked up a piece this week that we ( a couple big time Brooks collectors) have never seen before.
Good Luck and I hope it checks out !!!

Good afternoon Scott, ok, I have to ask, what was the Brooks piece and what piece did you discover?

Thanks!

It's marked as sold. If someone from this net54 thread purchased it I hope you enjoy it. It's seriously cool. The print quality is very impressive. Looks better than most things printed today.
