I was recommended the v37 (Not v370!) by a member about a year or so ago. Have since gotten it and have been very pleased. Works on my windows 11 machine. You can get one used on ebay for $40-$100 shipped. Just have to make sure there's no scratches and it comes with the power adapter.

In terms of technology I don't believe scanning has changed much at all in the last 10+ years, the v37 from 2012 is actually newer than the v600 and can scan at the same Dpi as the v600 (super high Dpi is irrelevant as we aren't scanning film). The only real difference is slightly slower scanning.

The v37 also comes with a hinged lid that allows you to open it and scan long items very easily.

That took 5 minutes. VueScan trial software woke up my dead 5600F and works. $25 option may be worth it - for me.
Sounds like a winner. If I recall, there might have been an issue with my scanner anyway. I know I don't like to upgrade unless I have to.

+1

VueScan was a lifesaver for my CanoScan 9000F Mark II.
