I joined this forum last week, and I must say I definitely have an obsession now. Thank guys! My newest pickup is this 1934-36 Diamond Stars Al Simmons. It's in ROUGH shape, but the price was worth it to me...as long as its an original.

I am new so I don't know, but is there a certain forum to post if you want other members feedback as to if a certain card is authentic/orginal?

Nice set with some interesting looking art deco styled cards. Congrats on the card. If you're looking for feedback on a card people seem to typically just post on the main board as long as it's pre-war, similarly to this thread.

So that's a 1, same as if it had been run over by a tank in the mud. I can't imagine what the back looks like, but it must be something! If I was ever to become a high-end card collector (unlikely at this point,) I think I would be the anti-Dmitri Young, collecting only 1s for which the backs had earned all the demerits. Displayed by the front, I might have one of the best-looking collections in the world. Ridiculous system, IMO.

Last week a fantastic Net54er got ahold of me about a group of B18s he had picked up. Fortunately, he saw my signature line on a post, B18s, and thought of me. Helps that we have done multiple transactions. He sent me an email asking for my want list which I gladly send. Low and behold, he has 57 of them. Without question, he packs them up and sends them to me. Without negotiation, we agree on a fair price for both of us. By adding this group of 57, I am only 18 Blankets away from the 181 set, no I'm not going to chase the "Reds" There are truly some amazing people here. They treat you fair and honor. Reputation is more precious than any of my possessions, guard it folks.

Kris Sweckard you are a treasure to this community. Thank you sir.

Here is how my set looks in their binders. My new additions are already put away.

Default Final T206

Finally finished the T206 set at 520 with this Cobby.

Waited for the right one for a very long time, but this felt like the one.

So very grateful for all of the help from the Board on the set over the past few years as well.

Great story. Honor, integrity, trust, keeping your word, being grateful and letting people that helped you know it. Seems so out of fashion doesn't it? But so refreshing when you find people who believe in those values.

I've sent complete strangers thousands of dollars based on the word of another member here and it's the best feeling in the world.

Thank you for the input! Its amazing how fast you can become addicted to something. As a matter of fact, I have a couple envelopes waiting for me when I get home today....

I've been doing alot of reading and listening to The Monster Podcast. I love all baseball cards, but pre-war feel like an equivalent to fly fishing over bait fishing, etc. Ive learned more about T206 cards in the past week, than I ever would've expected to.

My first ever t206 mailday! No real reason why I picked these up other than I liked the look of them, and they were cheaper commons. Reading this forum, and othet blogs like T206 Life and T206 Resource and listening to The Monster Podcast definitely makes me want to put all of my collecting focus on T206. The addiction is real.

Beautiful card Jeff.

I imagine eventually PSA will start listing T205 back's on the flip in the same way the do for T206's.

Nice T206 cards. The upcoming Birmingham Auction has a TON of vintage cards, not only in higher grade, but also a world of raw lower condition individual lots as well from many different PreWW2 issues, including T206.

Worth a look, and they are great to deal with too!

It's not pre-war, and they are barely cards, but they are still pretty cool, and likely, very tough to find. Here's a 1953 Globe Atlanta Crackers album, along with autographs. Gene Mauch is the manager at 26, Chuck Tanner is playing in the outfield, and Dick Donovan and Art Fowler anchored the pitching staff.
