Default eBay changes reserve price fee

Posted By: jay behrens

Just read on eBay that they are changing the fee for reserve auctions. The new fee is going to be $1.00 for every $100.00. This means that if you want to list that sweet Joe Jax card valued at $5k, you have to pay $50.00 in reserves plus the listing fee. To make things worse, if the item does meet reserve and the buyer decides back out, you are still out the $50 since only the final value fee is refundable, not the reserve fee.

Will be interesting to see how this affects things. It seems to have cuased a majot uproar on the eBay boards.

Jay

With the raising of the fees it might still be a good value but I would think it will cost them some business too....we'll see.....
