Default Collection Pricing Question.

Hey everyone, I'm new to the forum, got sucked in by the T206 conversations going on. However, I do have another question that I'm hoping to get some advice on.

I've got a fairly large size collection of 90s card sets and Kenner Starting Lineups along with some pins and bottles, things like that. I know that most of these items aren't very hot now, but does anyone have an opinion on what I should settle for bottom line for this collection?

I'm moving cross country and simply can't take it along. Should I expect a little more if I traded the collection for say some more valuable older singles or something? I'd strongly consider a trade, I just need to downsize.

Thanks for the opinions.

Hi-
I hate to say it, but I would take anything over 50.00 for the collection and be extremely excited. My suggestion to maximize your money is to consign the collection into one-three lots at a local collectible/antique auction. As I am sure you know, most of what you have was mass produced. Good luck no matter what you do and please co not be surprised if you get less than 50.00.

I was afraid of that. I would sooner take the SLUs and give them to toys for tots or something like that. Let the kids rip them open and play with them as toys before I sold them for $50. There are 160 SLU figures, so $50 would be crazy.

Hey Bundy,
Welcome to net54. C'mon, there is no way that all of the Starting Lineups you listed would sell for under $50-please!!

If I were you, I would list them on eBay with a starting bid of $5.99- $9.99 depending on who the player was and let the bidding take them where it does.

Good luck!

Thanks for the advice. I may have to go that route, lots of work, but it may be my only choice. I was just looking at eBay as we speak, some of the Jordan figures have brought $40 average. I may just list crazy low starting points and then whatever happens, happens.

Unfortunately, most of the collection is in the 1990's era and not worth that much. If you had some 1988 or 1989 SLU Football you could do well with those.

I sold all my SLU years ago, still had some left over and dropped off the rest for Xmas for kids a couple of years ago. Sell the Slu on ebay, but start them at .99 cents and let the bidders decide the ending price.
