The moon photo is an obvious fake...you can't even see the reflection of the card in the astronauts visor!

It was owned by Cobb prior to that slide. It was taken out of his back pocket as you can clearly see in the photo.

That theft is what made that photo so famous.

Maybe this guy and Pepis can link up and we can see the first PSA-slabbed Wagner-on-front-unopened-pack? I'll open the bidding at a cool bajillion sheckles.

Andrew and Pepis give me the same uncomfortable feeling I had when Koos or Libertyforall were posting here. We all know that scumbags exist in our hobby, but the temptation is always overwhelming to try and talk sense with them, but doing so from the point of view of someone with integrity, just doesn't work - it only frustrates us. I'm sure they both chuckle each time we try.

Andrew I don't get. If he does actually meet someone in person to discuss this card, and it's the wrong person, he could end up severely physically altered.

It's still the guy who tried to pull some type of scam...what that scam is and how he thought he could pull it off is not known.

Let these guys have their fun and move along.

Exactly. Just let everyone beat it into the ground, and get it out of their systems...

What's disconcerting to me is that if Andrew had more brains, he could have created a photo that made it appear he was actually holding the real nun Wagner. All you have to do is create an accurate-size SGC slip and card, using the easily-obtained scans of the real thing, crack a real SGC case and insert your prints, then really hold the item and take a pic. No one would know the difference. Except we wouldn't be as entertained and we'd still know he was trying to scam us.

If I was any more bored, I'd do it myself.

does anyone know if sgc put anything on the holder of the nuns wagner? like how you see the nagy collection? i dont know if this is his card or not i cant tell so until i can hear from a reliable source its fake in my eyes. when i started on here a few years ago and made a mistake about saying something i seen on craigslist it was a t206 plank and posted it and i didnt know it was scam leon contacted me and we talked for a good 10-15 min and cleared everything up and bye the way leon is a good guy. has anyone checked the id numbers he posted on the holder against sgc data base? how do you not know what you have is one if not the most sought after card in the industry? a quick google search and you would know what it sells for.

I think you might be a little late to the party .... but I will help you along nonetheless. When he made his absolute INITIAL post .... found here:
http://www.net54baseball.com/showthr...highlight=nuns

he was OBVIOUSLY selling this card:
http://sports.ha.com/c/item.zx?saleN...lotIdNo=157001

OR ..... you can follow the New York Times story here and easily see they are the same cards.

I thought Andrew was 'moving on' or getting banned? I received a PM from him last night where he's wanting to buy my cards.

I have been out of the loop for the last three days or so. Was this hoax ever admitted to? It sounds like he is still here so I assume this was addressed by the photoshopper.

Kinda disappointed in the way this thread has progressed.

We were subjected to all kinds of Photoshop jobs and then it denigrated to talking about this idiot.

More pics please.
