Is it just me, or does my Collins look different from yours? Are there variations in this set?

Wow...they are noticeably different. There is no mention of a variation in the Collins in the SCD big book. Anyone else have a Collins they can show?

All players in this set are known with two different "poses" (ie two different/slightly different pictures on front, kinda like the Small & Large Letter variations in P2)

Here is the tough HOME/VISITING TEAM Disc

Thanks Rhett. I wonder how many kids used that home/away coin to flip to see who got to bat first?

Just wanted to add - my two Mathewson's are, indeed, slightly different - look at Matty's head. But my two Walter Johnson's are the same overall picture front, just different color.

The green and red version have a smaller head of WaJo while the blue and brown have a larger head picture just like the Matty version. Are there different back combinations for the colors?

Interesting - Your Walter Johnson has a purplish/brown front with green back. But the rest have matching front/back colors.

I have 7 domino discs. 6 have matching color front/backs. But I too have a Walter Johnson that is different colors - purplish/brown front with blue back.

Maybe only Walter Johnson's came with different colors ? hmmm.

They never made a purple domino (back) so those with the purple front had to have one of the other 3 colors as a back. Also the home/visiting team had a different color on each side. Other than those all Domino's should come with matching front/back combos.

I have not seen that many Domino discs at one time let alone HOfers, and I assume you have more. Very nice to see something we don't see every day.

Scott,

I have almost 2 complete sets, I was gonna post more, but I just decided to do just the HOF'ers. But thanks for the complement.
