It is a vague term that some bonehead made up, trying to sound cool.

Dont' worry, it's not you. It's not a commonly used hobby term, it never was a hobby term, and hopefully it never catches on and becomes a common hobby term.

You just have a few members here and there casually using the phrase, some of which are more active and vocal than others, so it creates this illusion of it being a hobby term.

It's supposed to imply "marquee" or "highly sought after" or "expensive" or "popular", similar to a waterfront property, conflating cards with real estate and blurring the lines between collecting and investing.

Let's simply stop using that term. Using it gives credibility where it is not warranted.

I used to read this forum for years prior to joining and I saw the term "waterfront" being thrown around quite a bit, and that's why I started using it here. Anyways, I am going to stop because it is starting to drive some of you crazy!

Just like "Billion dollar fraud." It may very well be at some point a billion dollar fraud but today, I don't think that's the case. Plus, the sky doesn't seem to be falling as the above term would lead people to believe.

I believe one of the other resident idiots "Coined" the term waterfront some time ago. As ridiculous as it was, it is still used today only on these boards

WOW, that's a lot of material off the left side, let alone the others. What a shame for such an already beautiful card.

You forgot to post the OTHER Blue Wagner on BO. Yes, there is not just one, but two!

No apparent end to this fraud, as it approaches a _illion dollars. You guys can fill in the blank, as it surpassed the letter "M" eons ago).

Default more alternate truth. trimmed cards

More great detective work. If this hobby / business is to survive, these crooks must be ferreted out.

Those saying it doesn't matter, are like the ones who jumped off bridges in '29 when they didn't heed the warnings.

I like to test the waters first before getting in the river. Collectors need to stop treating the hobby like it was the second-coming of the stock market. Perhaps if they did that and educate themselves, most of this stuff wouldn't be a problem.

Finally, a graded card with a clear tiny pock mark on the front (the yellow circle on the top border). Have not been able to figure out if my raw Clemente rookie would get a worse grade from its pock, but based on the 6 that Hull originally got, looks like it wasn't a factor at all.

Thanks guys

Yes sure I can. I’m only talking about the Hull Hockey Card.

Hull it doesn’t appear to be trimmed to me. Look at the borders sizes. All of them to me they all look the same. Full not trimmed. The corners have the same wear in the 6 St and SGC 88 it’s the same card I agree to that I do not believe it’s trimmed. Did they lay down corners yes.....would like to see in my hand the thinness of the paper at the corners. I 100% believe this card hasn’t been trimmed
