crossword puzzles
Direct link to my baseball-themed puzzle for Net54 is here: https://crosshare.org/crosswords/hFs...isted-wordplay
I got into the habit of doing multiple crossword puzzles a day during the pandemic then decided to try my hand at constructing my own over the summer. I've posted some of them here if anyone's interested. Generally, the only ones I don't post there are the standard 15x15 puzzles, on the chance that the NYT or WaPo or WSJ will pay me for them. Everything else is free for anyone to try. Last edited by darwinbulldog; 09-14-2022 at 10:23 AM. |

Cool; I'll have to give it a look. I wrote a few crossword puzzles in college for the Technique, Georgia Tech's school newspaper.
Here's one I wrote for a scavenger hunt:

I used to think I was pretty good at crosswords. Then someone I was seeing (lol why do we use that euphemism anyhow?) got hold of a Times of London crossword and we sat down with it and gave up pretty quickly, it was humiliating.

They do those cryptic crosswords, right? That really does require a different skill set. Each clue is like 3 different riddles, and half of the letters in the grid only appear in a single word, so it doesn't even help you much when you do figure out one of them. Not my cup of...let's say coffee.

Very cool. I haven't yet been published in a newspaper, but that's a goal if I can get a little better at it.
