Congrats, Steve. I don't recall ever seeing a nicer-looking T215-2 card.

Since posting, I've learned of a second type 2 example (raw and with unique identifying staining on the top). If anyone knows of a third, I'd love to see it! I collect scans of this set along with the actual cards.

The vast majority of the Red Cross type 2's all came from a collection that have the small spot of back damage/horse glue. Clean examples are few and far between. Nice card!

A little bigger than I normally collect, but I think they'll look good framed on my wall. Maybe next month I'll track down an M113 Wagner to balance it out.

Hi Jack,

I think you might be confusing this with the miscut Type 1 that sold awhile back on eBay.

This Type 2 was acquired in a private transaction.

Cheers

It popped up yesterday on eBay when I was on lunch. The price was too good to turn down. It's been a lot harder of a HOFer to track down due to all the hoarding....eh...."collecting"

Default Teddy

..a premium from the Jack Armstrong Radio Show , brought to you by General Mills Cereal ; it's a glossy black and white photo , blank back , 5 x 7 ; looks much better in hand because the scanner setting is ''color''.....the sign on the wall reads :
"Players Must Not Bat
The Ball Toward The
Grandstand During Prac-
Tice"
...............................I believe the bottom says "The New York Baseball Club" but it's very small and I can't be sure of it.....I've never seen this particular shot of Teddy used for any other purpose , and I've seen hundreds. There is some evidence pointing to 1941 as year of issue and then Pearl Harbor happened and evidently the premium offer stopped abruptly...Jack Armstrong , The All American Boy , went to war.

Happy to have gotten my first CJ in the mail today. Great transaction and packaging by Luke. Unfortunately, doesn't fit in the stained CJ thread.

Added a HOF card to my raw 1935 Goudey set.

This is my first Mel Ott card...I've always liked this image (used in multiple Goudey releases like 1933, the 1935 black and white premium, etc.)
