Default Anyone else collect Baseball related telegrams...

This one is from Lou Gehrig just months before he died and is certainly one of my favorite pieces from my collection. What a Great Man he truly was...

I have a baseball telegram too, I'll have to dig it out and scan it.
Its from one Hall Of Famer to another.

An inquiring newspaper writer once sent a telegram to Cary Grant before his birthday that said "How old Cary Grant?" Grant sent a telegram back that said, "Old Cary Grant fine. How you?"

from HOF Sportswriter Grantland Rice and Yankees GM George Weiss both in regards to Dickey being elected to Cooperstown.

Could have been from Joe Schultz who was a coach in the bigs for many years and the Pilots Manager during their lone season in Seattle.

You might remember him as Jim Bouton's foul mouthed Manager in the classic book "Ball Four". Joe's favorite word was: Sh*tfu*k or Fu*ksh*t.
