Scarcity upgrade of one of my all-time favorite card fronts (from an E92). Thanks Alan!

Arrived today along with the Falk Matty. Oldest card, oldest thing for that matter, that I own. A humdinger, no?

The Carrigan and Lord have seen better days. However, they helped to complete my Red Sox E95 subset.

This probably belongs on the post-war side, but I'd rather show it off here.

Nice Willard Brown, Paul. I have the Leon Day from that set, which I believe is scarcer than the Toleteros sets from the same era.

Actually, this is a Toleteros. It is the final Toleteros set, issued in 1950-51. The other color set from Puerto Rico is the Denia set. I would bet that is the set that Phil's Leon Day is from. The two sets look very similar.

Scott,

You might be right: There could be Upp-side potential in that E90-1.

Seriously, I love that card.

Nothing spectacular with this, but this player front/back combo seems to be a little tougher to find according to SGC. Looks better in hand than in the scan.

I have to presume that those are graded 10's due to being postally used or having writing on the back. Max Stein's are notorious for centering. I've owned several, still have the McGraw, and I've never seen a centered one.

BTW, beautiful cards!!!

Steve, Paul, thanks. They each have tiny staple holes in the tops and bottoms which caused the 10 grade. Considerng that PSA gives out 5s to cards with paper loss, maybe these would be 6s?

Jeff L. : Cobb, Matty and McGraw, a nice hand of cards!

Picked up a couple of high number Diamond Stars; need nine more to round out the set.

Thanks, King.

Come on? When I was with O.J. in Vegas we didn't use violence to get the memorabilia. Maybe I shouldn't have said kill. We'll settle on forcefully remove.

High's card has some minor creasing , but I needed a Standard Biscuit back for the set (and a Globe, as well.)
