Default E cards and T cards with the same image...

Was curious as to how many of these exist.

There was a thread a little while ago that discussed cards in general sharing the same image. It wasn't T & E specifically, but certainly covered some.

Check this out: http://www.net54baseball.com/showthr...ds+share+image

Regards,

Richard.

Default Thanks

Didn't see any E cards and T cards with the same image in that thread...

I meant from the same year....thought it was strange that "competitors" would issue the same image at the same time...

Default E93s and E98s have a few

Scott,
If I recall, the E93s and E98s have a few similar poses. The Brown, Dooin, Chase, Collins, Wagner and maybe even more that are sliiping my mind are the same in these two sets. The Cobbs are similar, but are cropped at different places from that famous photo of his like many other cards of his are. (See Old Carboard, don't know what issue?, for a cool diagrammed picture of the cropping of that Cobb Photo)
I also think that E98s and E97s are the same for Meyers and maybe Mullin?
Tim

I expect there are quite a few portraits that were used for both E & T cards in the era. Here's a Cicotte overlap:

Ah, from the same year. That's a a bit different...although Post 6, 8 and 14, I think, still match that criteria.

Now you've got me trying to think of others...

Regards,

Richard.

Technically the e95, e104, e107, t206, and t204 Eddie Plank are all the same image, or at the very least the same pose.
