It's the one with the 208 (and growing) angry buyers outside waiting for the guy to come out with the tatoo that says "Make Money...Not Friends".

Looking at this seller's auction makes you wonder which is worse: scamming people into buying crappy cards or exploiting an ill spouse to make a quick buck selling crappy cards?

The auction heading should read:

Putting up a dutch auction for a bunch of foil-embossed, holographic crap sportscards, but I'm going to convince potential bidders that they have a chance at some decent cards by exagerrating or flat-out lying in my auction description and/or by shill bidding to make my feedback full of positive feedbacks.

you should go in and look at all the neg/neitrals. There are a large number of mutually retracted feedback, so the rating would be even worse without it. Seems that basic scam is, send out total crap and then if someone complains, send them some good cards. Otherwise, no complaint, no good cards. Reading the responses to the negs is a riot. Certainly not very ladylike and lots of grounds for filing a somplaint about retaliatory feedback.

I like to sit outside, drink beer and yell at people. If I did this at home I would be arrested, so I go to baseball games and fit right in.

I just read through his feedbacks. Nearly every negative feedback was met with a purely retaliatory negative. I am willing to bet that a lot of dissatisfied people simply skipped the feedback thing in order to avoid a retaliatory negative.

I think the rule should be that an ebay seller must leave feedback within a month of close of the auction or lose the right to leave feedback on the auction, unless the seller puts in a non-performing bidder notice. That way, the seller cannot retaliate.

You know, I have boxes of "good" 1990's cards sitting around from an unfortunate spending spree; maybe I should run a dutch auction for lots of them too, only give the buyers value for their money??

I went a bit deeper into this seller's feedback. One of the buyers noted that the seller had been using the "My husband had a heart attack" line for over a year. And this was in Sept of 2003.

I'm surprised no one has turned this guy in for retaliatory negs. You even states that they are exactly that in a number of responses to the negs he gets.
