Default MAY Pickup Thread

Thought I would start with a couple photos from recent 10 Highlanders Conlon lot in LOTG auction. The prizes for me were a portrait photo of Howie Camp and a photo of Charles Mullens.

But also interesting was a Bob Shawkey Conlon photo that also included a Paul Thompson stamp.

Another interesting photo was Ernie Johnson with what looks to be a note written by Conlon.

I had not seen either of these examples but maybe some of the expert Conlon guys could comment

Congrats on winning that lot Buzz, there are some nice ones in that group.

I'm still kicking myself for having all of those lots in my watch list, with early place mark bids but somehow I completely overlooked the Dodgers lot, which is why the final hammer price was so low.

If whoever bought the Dodgers Conlon lot wants to let any of them go, I'm your man.

Doug

I posted the story about this elsewhere, but I’m still in shock that I found this in the wild.

Picked up a program from Dizzy Deans last pitching appearance for the Browns in 1947. Almost 16K fans turned out to watch Dean pitch and get a base hit. You can read about the game from the article attached.
