Most of the mainstream football sets don't have a difficult series. Bowman's 32 card series never really produced a tough one (54 series 3 is probably the toughest relative to the others within a set), and Topps 1-2 series release schedule makes the second series less common but still abundantly available. Other than 1972 Topps 3rd series, I cannot really think of a difficult high series in mainstream football

I like the All-Pro design and the Namath In Action is one his best cards. I don’t know how they will do as investments, but they are a tough run to do for a mainstream set. No 1 card is super expensive and a high % of the surviving cards are in nice condition, but they add up with a high cost per card.

Forgot about them, but 1948 Leaf series 2 is a lot more difficult than the first series (not as bad as the baseball second series though).

Share with us whatever you end up buying, Octavio.

71 was the first baseball series I finished. The Baker RC ended up being tougher to get than I thought it would. I checked my dupes and I have 646, 720 and 738 in my dupe bin. If any of these 3 low grades are good enough for you, refresh me on your address through PM and I will PWE them to you for your set.

Oh you’re doing it the hard way, in minty sharp . Enjoy the chase, I love pulling out my 71’s. The black borders, the action photos that range from bizarre to amazing, the hideous airbrushing, its 70’s magic.

The 72 Topps football high numbers is a fun set to put together. I completed my set several years ago. I remember it taking quite a while to complete in nice condition. Good luck and have fun with your search.

1970 Topps Football High numbers are VERY difficult to find centered and nice ones are still pretty cheap (if you can find nice ones).
