The history of baseball

First off Baseball was not created!
It was developed through a series of evolutionary processes.
1: Hitting a round ball with a stick can be traced back to ancient Egypt known as Kemet in Africa long before the invention of the wheel. The Templar Knights have a long history with introducing ancient antiquity cultural customs to Europe from the 1100's to the 1300's and bringing the idea of hitting a ball with a stick as a recreational activity was brought to Europe from North Africa and the Middle East from the Templar's True or not makes for a fascinating origin.
2: Rounders is the main game Baseball has been developed from and Rounders never had any rules associated with it until 1884. Rounders was often called baseball and can be traced back to Portugal in the 1200's and Scotland in the 1300's as a child's athletics game in England in the early 1500's.
3: Cricket is also an influence of the game of baseball and can be traced back to Surrey, England in 1550 as it was developed from the game of Rounders as well.
4: 07 December 1827 John C. Clark wrote the Constitution for the Philadelphia Olympics Base Ball Club that was founded in 1831 and merged with Camden New Jersey in 1833, but it was what is now referred to as Town Ball. The Philadelphia Olympics first started playing Baseball in 1860 breaking away from their Town Ball roots. The original Philadelphia Olympics disbanded in 1889.
5: 1837 William Rufus Wheaton wrote the first rules of Baseball for the New York Gothams Baseball Club
6: 1838 Canada had a Baseball Game played, but it was just a game of Town Ball not the game of Baseball. Boston also had their own version of Town Ball going on as well as various communities in the New England area States such as New Jersey, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. There were various names of Baseball type games all stemming from Rounders and Cricket but mostly Rounders.
7: 1845 the New York Knickerbockers Baseball Club was founded by Duncan F. Curry, William R. Wheaton, and William H. Tucker who were members of the New York Gothams Baseball Club.
8: 22 October 1845 was the very first recorded game between two different Baseball Clubs and the rules of the game were drawn up by; Duncan F. Curry, William R. Wheaton, William H. Tucker, Alexander Cartwright, and Louis Fenn Wadsworth (Baseball begins as everything before was considered Town Ball). The rules are called the Knickerbocker Rules and New York rules and are developed from Wheaton's New York Gotham Rules. Before this game Baseball was played by different clubs but only between members of the individual club. This marked the first time two clubs went at it under a unified rules and the Gothams defeated the Knickerbockers 24-4 in three innings.
9: 1850 Daniel "Doc" Adams changes Baseball forever inventing the position of Shortstop and takes the field as the very first Shortstop in Baseball History
10: 1857 New Rules are drafted up from the Knickerbocker Rules aka the New York Rules and the National Association of Baseball Players begins play as individual Clubs face off against each other each year crowning a champion. This however was not a league with a schedule and was supposed to be an amateur only organization however clubs cheated and several players were paid.
11: 1860 Jim Creighton becomes the first real superstar of baseball as he goes undefeated as a pitcher as many complain he was pitching illegally. He also hit 1.000 on the season and in 1862 dies from a ruptured abdominal hemorrhage after hitting a home run. Some say his hitting the home run is what killed him.
12: 1865 Octavius Catto establishes the very first Black baseball team the Philadelphia Pythians Base Ball Club
13: 1869 the Cincinnati Red Stockings become the first official all-professional baseball team and in 1871 professional league play began within the National Association.
