I recently purchased a 1951 bowman rookie despite the recent neg feedback the seller had. Should have listened to my gut as it has been about 10 days since I paid and I have no card and seller has stopped communication.. he is local Indianapolis, Indiana. I have his actual address and name, but have never run into this situation before. Anyone have any suggestions? |

I would file a claim with Ebay and also Paypal assuming you paid with Paypal. |

Tons of red flags with that seller, he is obviously a kid who will be going to jail soon by the look of some of the scam auctions he's listed. |

All you have to do is call your local police station and they will put you in touch with the online crime unit which handles internet fraud. Once you do that he will be nabbed. |

Ebay scammers only can exist with the help of foolish ebay buyers. |

You started a thread about this card on the 12th after you bought it on the 11th. Did you send payment before starting the thread or did you still send payment after the responses you got? It's unfortunate that it now doesn't look good for you, but to most people this was obviously something to stay away from to begin with. If you ever have any doubt you should always ask questions before you send money. |

IMO, Richard's being a little hard on ya Jamie! We all make mistakes, and although it sometimes takes making our own mistakes to learn from, I dont blame you for giving someone the benefit of the doubt, even though people talk badly about them. Heck, if everyone was that critical of "errors in judgement", Mr. Cobb would never have made it into the HOF! Basically, I just want to say we all have our lessons to learn, and this one may just end up costing a little more than others! |
