Default 700 for Albert

Albert Pujols hit his 700th HR last night. What an achievement!

Great for Albert! Icing on the cake - he did it against the Dodgers who traded him AND he hit 2 in the same game! Nothing against the Dodgers, they were good for Albert and gave him a fair shake, basically saved him from retirement and from the Angels. But then he returned home!

They had a stat on TV that I found amazing. Albert on average took 26 seconds to round the bases after a homerun. If you take that average, Albert has spent more than 5 hours of his career rounding the bases after hitting a homerun!

I wonder if all those Cardinals fans regret burning their jerseys after they let him go the Angels.

Not saying there wasn't a single person that did this, but people were not as mad as others outside of St Louis make it out. We're there some sad? Yes, but they were still fans of him that rooted for him throughout his career. Cardinals fans continue to root for their former players when they leave.

Whoever caught that ball kept it. I can't blame them since it's probably worth a hundred grand.

I feel like there's always some hint at a person being greedy or whatever if they keep a ball like this. But why? Albert was fortunate enough to be so good at baseball he makes a living from it. A fan is fortunate enough to be in the right place at the right time and afford a living for themselves.

How is that not a balanced world?
