Mr. Mack. It must have been hot as hell in this uniform during August.

The "Connie on the Crapper" Quad!
Well played Tim. Also, I think the '36 WWG Maranville in the first post looks like Bela Lugosi.

Thanks
Thanks Jeff. Yes, with that smile on his face, I wonder what adult magazine he is looking at.
Landing this Mack in the latest Sterling auction helped me knock down having all 4 colored backgrounds of now 25 out of the 30 players in the E98s. Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays everyone! Tim |

Gansters
Those 1936 WWGs make the players look like Mafia Gangsters from the 30s. They look like Dillinger or someone in Capone's family!

Here is a Civil War era CdV that shows the posing difficulties of the time. Notice the two bats and ball.

That Lobert/Schaefer photo is UNREAL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I always thought they looked alike (strong-healthy Alpine type), but seeing them next to each other is almost frightning !!!! ........... no baseball.......... sorry, just boxing .......... "Good John L Sully" and the Great Joe Gans (it still amazes me that boxing crossed the 'color' line basically from its begining).............. 51.jpg 18.jpg |
