Default Anyone win the lot of 5 baseballs in PA today

There was a auction out in PA that had 5 vintage baseballs. Was just curious if anyone here won them, because I was interested in one ball.

Looks like one was a cobb presentation ball. Who takes pictures like this? If they were handling my family's estate I'd be irate.

Well I can't see much of anything too well but in the first pic of the balls I read one that said presented to ?.. Baseball assn. by and then it kind of looked like the final two bb's and flourish on a cobb sig. Just throwing out an idea based of the horrible pics.

On the presentation ball it looks like the last visible word is FELLER.

Not sure what that has to do with this auction of 5 vintage baseballs.

If I squint close enough, it looks like "Presented to Cooperstown, NY Baseball ____ Assn" but yeah, not a good photograph. Are some of the balls from complete games? I can see 9 IN listed on them. The bottom right looks like "Johnson" to me.

Here's the pic if you can't find it:

Nice lot...I wonder who signed all of them?...in the later pics you can clearly see that that at least two of them are official major league balls even though the pictures are horribly blurry. That auction house needs to invest in a new camera or teach the person taking the photos how to use a camera.

There are a ton of fake Mante's being sold over there at Google.com too! This is the exact same thing as saying that about AuctionZip. AuctionZip is just a search engine of Auction Houses. It is not an auction company, it is purely a list of current auctions at auction houses across the country. You have to look at each auction house and discern which auction house is honest and which one isn't.

The auction house that sold the balls didn't have any Mantle's so your comment is irrelevant in this conversation.

Can the top left be Hugh Duffy or Hugh Jennings? (Maybe wishful thinking)...

auction zip is no more than a vehicle to get buyers into the auction house of local auctions. Not trying to get your online bid. There is a site for that, that doesn't always work as was posted here a few times.

Here's the pic if you can't find it:
The "Johnson" is the Ban Johnson signature stamp on an American League ball. That along with the two stamped "WARRANTED The Cork Center 9 IN 5 OZ" seem to be pre-1924 American League balls. The top left ball looks to be black and red stitched so it might be a pre-1933 National League ball (sort of looks like a circular Spalding stamp towards the top).

Cool lot, whatever the inscriptions are. If the rest of the ball and the stampings are in decent shape, the balls themselves would be a pretty good deal at that price.

The one ball is certainly signed (and possibly inscribed) by Bob Feller. Just sayin'...

If it's made out to Coopertown...you think it's a no-no ball? I'm not too familiar with the where abouts of the three no no are located.

I would like to have a closer look at the entire ball. It's really a crap-shoot without more info. BTW, Feller threw no-hitters in 1940, 1946 and 1951.

Lucky for him Feller is deceased because Feller literally would have shown him his backhand.

One of the Ban Johnson balls now on ebay. Wonder if he already identified that there are no big names on it. Very wishful thinking on what "might" be there in the listing.
