Default PSA Re-holder question

Years ago, PSA started grading and putting the extra thick materials cards in holders that were also used for grading unopened packs. Then they changed the holders and the thick cards are slabbed in smaller cases that are the same size and stack with the common PSA size holder.

Question 1: Does PSA still put thick cards into the smaller size cases?

Question 2: Would sending the old style to get reholder'ed into the new style cost more than a standard reholder job?

1) Only if they're temporarily out of thick card holders.
2) No.

If you want to guarantee a thick card goes into a normal sized slab, write that on the form and then call when they receive it and tell them to put the order on "Shipping Hold". Once they've graded the card, call them and confirm the card was placed in the card holder and then release the hold.

Boy, I like the way it looks in the pack slab!

Ray, I agree, it doesn't look bad at all. It just takes up SO much space compared to the smaller holders. Basically takes up 3 times as much space. I have wooden boxes made to fit the regular holders and the oversize pack holders throw everything out of whack.
