Default Whats the differences??

I recently purchased this card:
Labeled as a 1929 Shoew Japanese Babe Ruth
Sent it into SGC for grading and comes back labeled as
1928 Shonen Kulubu
I know there also a Churchmans variation too.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCES, HOW CAN I TELL??
And if theres any $$$ pricing differences???

Well, the one that has Japanese symbols on it ... is not a Churchmans.

Hope this helps in some small way.

I have a friend in Japan that could translate the charactars for you. Pm me and we can exchange emails, if you are interested. Hiro would be glad to help!

Easier than all that. I saved the pictures from your post, and with your permission, I can send them to Hiro for translation. Let me know if you want to do it!

Default Ruth

HI Chris,
Who labeled the card as "Shoew"? I have alway known this card to be a Shonen. The Churchman's version is the size of a British Tobacco card and not postcard size like your Shonen.

Rick

It's a 1929 issue as mentioned above (and here also: Link). I believe that the SCD shows the issue from 1928, which is the reason for that SGC and PSA label it that way.
