I can see it now.......
Judge Landis: *Consider yourself in Contempt!*
Leon: *Colonel Brisco, did you order the Cincinnati Red (Mathewson Auto)?* Judge Landis: You *don't* have to answer that question! Col. Brisco: I'll answer the question! [to Leon] Col. Brisco: You want answers? Leon: I think I'm entitled to. Col. Brisco: *You want answers?* Leon: *I want the Ruth!* Col. Brisco: *You can't handle the Ruth!* [pauses] Col. Brisco: Son, we live in a hobby that has walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with mitts. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Atkins? I have a greater responsibility than you could possibly fathom. You weep for the suckers who buy the fake autos, and you curse the Net54. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know. That some poor suckers fake Ruth, while tragic, probably saved lives. And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives. You don't want the Ruth because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that wall, you need me on that wall. We use words like honor, code, loyalty. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the fake autos that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide them. I would rather you just said thank you, and went on your way, Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a Slabbed Card, and stand a post. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you are entitled to. Leon: Did you order the Cincinnati Red x13? Col. Brisco: I did the job I... Leon: *Did you order the Cincinnati Red x13?!!!!!!!* Col. Brisco: *You're Goddamn right I did!* Last edited by Shoeless Moe; 08-27-2011 at 10:08 AM. |

Sure looks like I opened a can of worms in regard to the Babe Ruth Silver Certificates.
Over 10,000 hits equals a lot of words being spread around. Frank should have followed up with what he said he was going to do, if those statements had any basis in fact. |

From Piedmont's website: "Purchasing single and multiple cards, in addition to autographs and other memorabilia. Contact us today!"
Would these qualify as other memorabilia? |
