Fortunately the Phils gave up on this Wiz kid too soon and Curt helped St Louis win the World Series in 1964

#65 Robin Roberts When I was 12, I got a 1957 Topps card of him and when I saw his stats on the back, I thought he was the greatest. Unfortunately, at age 30 his dominance waned, but he ended up winning 286 games. Plus, he was one of the players who worked to organize the players into a union.

Imagine if Simmons, Roberts, and Parnell had been on the same pitching staff.

Bob, this is a very nice one, even more glossy and well-focused than most of yours. Did you normally buy your cards raw and grade them yourself? You must have spent a lot of time looking through "mint" cards to find the best ones.

Huge card Phil, is that a box-topper, haha.
Just wanted to let you I am still lurking. I don't have another card to post until #80 Kiner. |
