Likely my last posting on this. Still waiting to hear back via email from some of those who said they'd be sending stuff in. I hope no one seriously is not sending anything because they don't like the charity! We've got a nice t206 group brewing here! |

This is a great cause folks. Please think about giving a little to those children that this program helps. At the end of our lives on earth no one will care about what you have, but will care about what you have done..... |

As we have discussed privately you are doing a really nice thing here. However I would kindly ask that the questions about "are you sending something or not?" addressed to individuals be handled in private emails. No one should feel they are on the spot to donate...and I am sure you didn't mean it to be that way but when asking publicly it is sort of that way. So for those folks asked about donating....if you respond please do it privately to emails to Kyle....or not....it's everyone's own, personal choice....take care and best regards... |

Sorry, just going off of posts in the original thread from people who "committed", but I haven't heard from. I just want to give Rob as much time to get the auction put together and not delay the catalog printing. |

Last chance to join the auction. I've received all items I've been emailed about. If you'd like to join the auction, email me at kylebicking@yahoo.com letting me know what you're sending. If no responses, I will mail to REA on Monday allowing them an extra week to work on the catalog. |

Thanks for posting the link! I've been checking the website every day waiting to see it. Robert did an awesome job photographing everything, well above and beyond what I had expected. |

Is there a way to see the other auction lots in the 2007 auction? How did you find that Cat? |

Am I understanding this correctly that the high bidder will write the check out to the Painted Turtle Charity? Does that mean that not only do they get the cards, but they also get the write-off on their taxes? |

Dan, yep... that's seemingly how it works. If we do a next one, I plan on trying to figure out a way for all donators to the cause to get the write off doc. |

Imagine what we can do if I have a few months to receive items, but would too many items be less effective? Could the value be too much and turn away bidders? |

I kind of like the idea of an annual thing with REA if they would be willing. Then there would be plenty of time, people would know ahead of time when it would be and could plan for it and maybe even buy cards with the annual charity auction in mind. I don't know if this is a good thing for REA or something difficult for them to do, but in my opinion they should be first in line to host it if they want - because they were willing to do it first. |

I think Rob would be happy to do it. If you look at some of his past auctions, he often devoted several pages to charitable causes. |
